The 6th annual WCC Sprint for Scholarships 5K Run/Walk & Kid Run will be held on Friday, September 20 at 6:00 PM. The event is sponsored by Wytheville Community College and the WCC Educational Foundation. All proceeds raised will directly benefit local student scholarships at WCC. Additional donations to the WCC Educational Foundation to support student scholarships are welcome.
The kid run will start at approximately 6:00 PM, and the 5K Run/Walk will start immediately afterwards at approximately 6:15 PM. All runners should arrive by 5:45 PM to allow enough time for check-in and lineup.
After the race, join us for the WCC Alumni and Friends Picnic. Food and drinks will be provided in the upper-Carroll parking. North Tower Band will perform from 6:45 PM until 8:45 PM. North Tower has been one of the south's great party bands for over 35 years, providing the best in top 40, beach, funk and oldies.
The course is officially certified by the U.S. Track and Field Association, and the race is professionally timed by Run Roanoke, L.L.C.
The Kid Run is free (children 12 and under), but ALL children must be registered
