All proceeds go to the WBAWL low cost spay/neuter program.
The run/walk will begin promptly at 9AM. Make sure to arrive on the event site no later than 8:30AM on Saturday, as the main road to campus will be partially blocked prior to the race start. Parking will be available in the upper parking lot in front of Smyth Hall. Please note that the lower Carroll Hall parking lot will be closed to all traffic the day of the event.
Smyth Hall will be open for rest room access
Pets are not allowed inside the buildings. Pets must be on a leash not exceeding 6ft long and must be up to date on vaccinations and licensing. Owners must clean up after their pets. For safety reasons, runners with pets must line up behind runners without pets at the starting line.
The run/walk will start at the traffic circle between the WCC main campus and the Wytheville Meeting Center.
Headphones are prohibited on the race course.
Children in strollers must remain in strollers for the entire course.
Runners may use one lane of the road. To minimize traffic disruption, walkers must use the sidewalks when they are on the part of the course that is off the WCC campus.
The course takes a few turns, which will be clearly marked. Pay attention to the signs & volunteers posted on the course to make sure all runners/walkers stay on the route.
There will be bottled water for runners and walkers, and water in bowls for the dogs, both at the halfway point on Community Blvd and at the finish.
